Heston Blumenthal has enlightened us all in the Sunday Times with his recipe for a burger. Expecting a froth of barbeque smoke bisque in a shot glass I find it involves buying 4 beef burgers from the shop and putting them in a bap. For those who missed it………………..
4 free-range beef burgers (at least 125g, preferably 250g)
4 cheese slices
4 white baps
4 tomatoes, sliced
3 pickled gherkins, sliced lengthways
Mayonnaise
Tomato ketchup (Heinz)
French’s mustard
Burger relish
Iceberg lettuce leaves
