Airport terror - why we really need to be afraid
This is a political stunt and I’m not buying it. I just don’t believe the Government any more. WMD, Iraq, Kelly, Campbell, Forest Gate, Afghanistan, de Menezes... We needed to up the terror at home to distract anti-war feeling and reduce pressure on Israel in Lebanon; with Blair not missing his flight out of the country the two Johns and co. need to show that it’s more than croquet as usual and the Home Office is on the road to recovery; the boys in blue need something that resembles a result; the press need a story now that the heat wave’s no longer killing the birds before they can catch bird flu; travellers bond in the Dunkirk spirit…... How come I feel this way, I never used to?
