Lords' reform and that red button

Is there some hidden logic in demoting Jack Straw from being responsible for invading foreign countries and deposing unelected despots to reorganising the Lords? What tactics might we expect? Will we see shuffling in ermine robes replaced by shuffling in orange overalls? Meanwhile my concern about Tony desperately looking to leave with a bang rather than a whimper grows apace following suspicions that Tony sacked Jack for being reluctant to go to war with a nuclear Iran. And now we hear that Tony says that going nuclear back home is back on the agenda "with a vengeance"!! Does he really mean what I think he means?
